The Michigan State University Auto-ID Research and Testing Center (AIRTC) provides unbiased research in the field of test ID technology, especially 1D and 2D bar-coding and LF, HF and UHF RFID systems.
The AIRTC focuses primarily on applied research to develop understanding of the interactions between Auto-ID systems and product, package, and distribution environment. The goal is to apply this knowledge to develop guidelines for the implementation of Auto-ID systems as well as solutions for Auto-ID integration problems. The research center provides students with experience in a professional research setting while working side by side with outside companies to drive research, and develop functional Auto-ID solutions.
